Certain spices and herbs from our grandmother’s stockpot are so valuable that they are still used in everyday home remedies. Mulethi is one such ancient herb utilised for its exceptional health-promoting properties. Mulethi is often referred to as liquorice. It has been utilised for centuries, particularly in Ayurvedic medicine. Since it has a pleasant flavour, it is widely used as a flavouring agent in most places, making it a delicacy. Mulethi has anti-diabetic and anti-oxidant properties, promotes liver health, and contains expectorant and decongestant properties that aid in the fight against respiratory infections. Mulethi sticks are a traditional remedy for sore throats. It can treat asthma, cough, cold, sore throat, and bronchitis due to its expectorant and bronchodilator properties.
